Sounders Sign Argentine Midfielder Mauro Rosales

The Seattle Sounders FC have signed Argentine midfielder Mauro Rosales, just three days after losing the season opener to the LA Galaxy.

Seattle announced the deal for the 30 year old on Friday. He joined the club during training in late February. Rosales has been capped 10 times for Argentina and was a member of their gold-medal winning side at the 2004 Olympics.

Most recently, Rosales spent the last four seasons playing for River Plate in Buenos Aires. Rosales has scored 39 goals in 234 league matches for the three clubs. He will wear number 10 jersey and won’t be a designated player. Read SportsPressNW article: Sounders sign Argentine Mauro Rosales

Blaise Nkufo Released from the Sounders
